Preserve Cherokee
& Secure Our Future.

I am running for office because I am motivated by a strong sense of duty to protect the community I cherish and to ensure Georgia remains a great place where families feel safe, work with purpose, and raise children with hope for the future. With many years of leadership and community service experience, I am now ready to give back to the community and the State of Georgia."

Meet Mark
Mark and his wife, Shawn, have made Cherokee County their home for the past 21 years. Attracted by Canton’s character and distinct natural setting, they chose to settle there to raise their two children, Bethany and Kyle.
Mark has 28 years of leadership experience from working at a Fortune 100 company, with roles spanning finance, operations, digital transformation, data management, and enterprise governance. He thrives on tackling complex challenges and building teams that achieve measurable results, becoming well-known for profit-and-loss management and digital capabilities.
In addition to his career, Mark is dedicated to public service. He has participated in the Regional Advisory Committee for the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, focusing on policies affecting individuals and families in need. He has also volunteered as troop committee chairman for Trail Life, a Christian scouting group, and founded Wheels A Cuba Ministries, which partners with Cuban churches to deliver wheelchairs to children with disabilities.
Raised with a deep appreciation for the American Dream, Mark's values were shaped by his Cuban immigrant father, who came legally to secure a better life for his family. His grandparents also left Cuba and lived in Atlanta for most of Mark’s life.

During a 2024 Wheelchair trip to Cuba, Mark and Bethany visited his father’s childhood home in Guantanamo.

Mark was invited to speak to a conference for people with disabilities in Cuba. This faith-based gathering included people from across the island.

Mark was able to take a large group to the Atlanta Mission homeless shelter to do some needed organizing in the kitchen.

Mark and some Trail-Life guys enjoy some paintball fun at Summer camp.

Mark and the Woodstock Trail Life troop prepare to head out on the annual Winter Survival Campout.

Mark and the high school Trail Life guys break away from outdoor skills to learn about social etiquette and dancing.

Kyle was awarded a Georgia Military Scholarship, a great progression from the ROTC program at Etowah High School.

Bethany was sworn in as a National Guard Military Police recruit during her Senior year at River Ridge High School, where she was deeply involved in the ROTC program.

Mark and Shawn often help Shawn’s parents, who help lead the Pickens County Sheriff’s Auxiliary Organization.
